Buying the best Christmas tree on a budget

It’s almost Christmas. Shoppers are filling shelves with goodies and leaving Santa notes while pondering on the kind of Christmas ornaments to buy.

Which tree is better for Christmas? Real tree or artificial tree, like pre-lit Christmas trees? How do you decide which to get for your space? You decide!

Find out which type of tree is most suitable for your home and family this holiday season by checking out this article:

What is the price of a live Christmas tree?

The Home Depot stores currently sell real Christmas trees for $65 to $110 each. You may also get a few other Christmas ornaments if you wish. Trees with a diameter of 7 feet typically cost 80 dollars and trees with a diameter of 8 feet cost 78 dollars.  In fact, the number of real trees sold in 2019 increased by 20%, reaching about 32.8 million last year.

Real trees’ prices increased 17 percent from 2015 to 2017 as green-minded shoppers sought out local trees.

How much does an artificial tree cost on average?

The price of a Christmas tree depends on its quality, its height, and other features (like pre-lighting).  An artificial tree cost on average $104 in 2018.

Currently, the price of LED pre-lit Christmas trees at Home Depot ranges from $159 to $295, depending on features. The availability of artificial Christmas trees at any time is one of their biggest advantages.

Peak sales typically occur in December or after the holidays.

ACTA estimates that buying and replacing an artificial tree each year costs three times as much as maintaining a real tree.

An artificial tree is a better option if you’re worried about the cost.

If you want your guests to be delighted with this year’s ornament mix on your tree, make sure to choose carefully!
